I redeployed last week and I am stuck on FT Bliss for at least the next few days. I Wanted to know if there were any recommendations for gunshops in the El Paso area that actually had more than the usual factory new guns etc. and more of the things that would be of interest to someone who frequents this site. so far the Pawnshops have been lacking in any used guns.

"...and I'm stuck on Ft. Bliss..."
Sucks to be you. Beats the heck out of North Ft. Hood though.
Forget the gun shops. Go to Jaguars on Gateway.
Negatives: A review from "John" on Yelp. "Fights and shootings outside the club. Bouncers give you a hard time. Prostitution and drug deals inside. Gangs fight there."
Positives: Military discount with I.D.
Where, may I ask, are you off to? I may want in on it. Some crazy Polish chick has me cleaning gutters, fixing stuff, and painting. PAINTING! Aarrrg!
What the hell happened to the honeymoon? I've been bamboozled.

Not on my way over, I just got back from year in A$$crackistan. I heard all about Jaguars from my younger officers. thanks but no thanks. sort of like fine guns. If all I can do is look at them and not touch them and not hold them and not use them , I don't want anything to do with them. Ill leave the "ballet" to the younger soldiers. been to a few shops but noting in the way of old guns. well one had a pre 64 70 std. in 264 in nice hape but had a Pachmayr pad and there was a Mannlicher Schoenauer (Mod 1951 I think) in 243 with an old Leupold 3x9 on it. That was it for 5 shops we looked at.

Brian,
Yeah, sh*t brother, I knew you were over there, thought you were back and headed out again. F**k that. Glad you are home safe. I envy you. Nothing beats that feeling of touching down on U.S. soil again, and having two months paid vacation. God, I love this country. Enjoy your leave. I sure as f**k did.
PEACE!
