Hello Gentlemen:

Someone is offering to me a double shotgun for sell and the name he give to me is "Bühal Suhl Handwersarbeit"
I do not have any other information, besides is a double barrel shotgun with a boxlock system and double triggers.
Do you recognize the name "Bühal Suhl Handwersarbeit"?
German made?
I will see it next week, so if you can give me some advise or information regard the name I will apreciate it.

BÜHAG Suhl was one of the East German gun makers after WW2. Quality is very good.

Buxton's Guide has several pages of Buhag production, apparently they took over the old Sauer works in Suhl and produced the same guns under many names ( Sauer, Buhag, Fortuna, Wolf, Simson, Hubertus). If there is interest I can scan the pages for you.

I learn something every day, and a lot of times it's that what I learned the day before was wrong

Thank you for your replies; if I confirm the name (Bühal vs Buhag) then I know that is a good quality shotgun.
I will inspect the shotgun next tuesday and decide.
