For the more ambitious gunmakers I have a left hand lockplate for and Alex Henry single shot. I am in the process of building another A.H. and had my local machine shop EDM cut a copy of an original lock plate which I provided them. This time the first plate was programmed in error and resulted in a left hand lock plate. All dimensions and tapers were taken from the original.
Inside the lock plate you can see two areas of vertical material, these need to be shaped into bosses for the mainspring support and the rear hook with restrains the plate with a shaped screw. Made from good quality 1018 bar stock. Tumbler hole is undersize.

They would be a perfect start for a double but I need the RH one for a customers gun. Ordinarily, I would tuck the LH one away because 'I might use it sometime' but my 70th birthday is tomorrow and odds are slim that I will ever use it. Also, the thought of making all the mirror image internals is too intimidating for me!
Now that the shop has CAD input for both sides, I can have them make you a set for your double.
