Hello, I have been away from the double board for a few years, and I see the rifle forum has taken off too. When I ran across this ratchet yesterday, I thought MP will know about this, if anyone does. (I am sorry to hear that you had to have some repair work done, but I am glad you are doing better!)
Did Sedgley sell tools too? Did K&S make them for Sedgley?
I am not very good at looking up patents, but it says Pat. May 18,1915.
It is 7" long, 1/2" hex drive. It is pretty beat up, worn, and repaired a time or two, but it said Sedgley on it, so I gave the guy his $4 and took it home.

Sedgley was pretty prolific in the patent department.

Google Patents is a great resource for looking up patent info. If you go to www.google.com/patents and type in "Reginald F. Sedgley" you will see the details. If you add the May 18, 1915 date to the google patent search you will come up with the specific patent for the wrench.

Good luck,

Ken

Thanks Gary and Ken! It didn't take you guys long. I understand the K&S now. Kolb was a U.S citizen, and Sedgley was a British subject at the time. I have a lot of reading to do!
