I thought I would try out the new photo bucket with pic from last weekend of pup pointing a pigeon in a launcher. This was her 2nd bird contact and she is about 4 mos old from Nitro Kennels in NW Mo.

Very nice looking pup. I'm afraid I will soon have to be in search of a new pup. Kind of a sad/joyful type of thing.

If that does not bring a smile to your face you just do not understand the hope and promise that every dog brings to a owner.

Hi Dwight, What a nice little pointer pup. Nice tail! I've got a male pointer pup about her age. Been working him on pigeons about 3 weeks. His name is 'Boss'. Boss loves birds and I've introduced the gun. He doesn't even hear it go off. I see you are from MN. Grouse hunt up there? I use mainly pointers in the Grouse woods. Sometimes they run a little big but with ones that handle I've had some pretty good luck.

Socialism is almost the worst.

Buzz,
I do hunt some grouse/woodcock mostly northern MN but hunt more in the open country of Mt/ND for sharps and huns. I have a garmin so if she holds her points I can find her.
Later in the season I go to Ks for quail. Sometimes NM or AZ if the birds ever come back. I have had quite a few different pointing breeds, versatile dogs, but thought I should try a pointer before I can't hoof it anymore.

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the picture.
