OP cadet Sidelock Joined: May 2007 Posts: 605 Likes: 1 Victoria, Australia	At this time of year, in this part of the world, the weather starts turning cold, so I do a few trips to where I grew up in Western Victoria to get firewood. That the season for ducks is usually open now allows me also to jump a few dams for a feed of ducks. One mountain duck (or Chestnut-breasted/Australian shelduck Tadorna tadornoides) and two wood ducks (Maned goose Chenonetta jubata) were the result of today's effort: For inquiring minds who may wish to know: WH Wakefield of Price St, Birmingham, c1904, 12g x 3", light full and full choked pigeon gun, damascus barrelled, toplever, hammers-falling-into-shell fences, game scene engraved. Load: ounce-and-eighth lead #5 (still permitted in damascus barrels here) doing about 1180fps. Re: Buffalo - they are asiatic water buffalo, introduced, and which run feral through some of the Northern Territory.
