A member on the 16GA Society noted a couple Browning Superposed 16 ga guns in inventory.
A few years back I placed an order with Andrew Litt in the UK for a 16ga Superposed, he was attempting to get a limited run of 16 bores through the Browning Custom Shop in Herstal. Browning was having difficulties fitting the 16bore barrels to the 20 ga frame. After a year wait I asked for a refund which was promptly returned (I guess I was just lucky from what I have read) but Mr Litt was a true gentleman with me.
Anyhow, do any of you knowledgeable Superposed experts have any information on the 16 ga Superposed? The run Litt was working on did not have chopper lump barrels. Any ideas on weight? I think the semi recent run of 30" barreled 28ga Dianas did not have chopper lump barrels either.

Kinda scratching my head over the concept of chopper lumps on an OU. On a sxs, half the lump goes with each tube. How would that work on an OU? There are certainly OU barrels that aren't monobloc, but that doesn't make them chopper lump.

I've wondered the same thing , Larry. As you know on O/U it's called demiblock rather than chopper. I've had a tough time visualizing how an o/u can be chopper. I see it with bottom barrel where lumps could be integral, but what about top? Is it a dove tail joint which mates top and bottom barrels? Perhaps SGJ can explain this to us since he apparently knows.

The reason chopper lump is called chopper lump is because the two halves of the lump, made integral to each tube on a side by side, somewhat resemble the head of an axe. Particularly attached to the tube with which they're made. If you're not dividing the lump--which I can't quite visualize on an OU--how do you then end up with chopper lump???
