Good to see this thread brought back to life.
I have copies of Webley catalogues from 60's and 70's ( kindly gifted from a board member) which clearly describes and advertises the 700 as basic, 702 next, 701 top model. Priced accordingly. Crawfords Webley history states the 712, 720 and 728 are indeed bore designations and made for American market. Regards.
