I'm wondering if it is possible and realistic to consider putting choke tubes in a cut down cyl & cyl damascus barrel?
Gun in question is a J Lang hammer gun. The barrels have been cut to 26" and are cyl and cyl. I'm not sure but it appears the barrels have also been reamed. I am unable to measure the wall thickness since I haven't been able to locate a guage in the Calgary area.

First major concern is wall thickness. But there is another option if the walls are too thin. Have a set of choke sleeve tubes soldered in the barrels and then have it choked as you wish. Mike O can do this and I am sure many others can as well.

I agree with KY Jon, barrel wall thickness is the first thing I would have done. With the barrels cut to 26", choke tubes would cost more than the gun is worth.

Try this outfit in Canada. I don't know the issues with sending barrels down here to the states from there, but keeping it in Canada may simplify things. They advertise a fixed choke sleeve, that's the way I'd go. http://www.precisionarms.ca/WebPages/ShotgunBarrelModifications.htm

Wow it has been a long time since I saw that name Chuck. Steve Milton used to shoot at field trials years ago when I was running my springers in trials. One of the best shooters I ever saw in the field. He was always very knowledgeable and talented guy. Not sure if he knew more about scotch or guns.
