Bill, do you mean RST hull. They should be Cheddites if they have 4 stars on the head.

Bill,

Do you mean an RST hull? If so, this is a Cheddite hull. I use the following for any Cheddite hull:

15 gr 700x
Cheddite primer
BPI Competition Special wad
3/4 - 7/8 oz shot

Approximately 1,140 fps and 5,300 psi.

Phil

I've used the same as Phil but for the wad. Didn't have any BPI wads [ that cost too much anyways] and used a CB wad intended for 1 3/8oz of shot but loaded 1oz . The shorter cushion area is the only difference between it and a 1oz wad and being shorter allows it to be used in a 2 1/2" shell. IMHO, if you're loading down around 15grs of anything and 1oz of shot, it's gonna be a low pressure load and kind of hard to get too much pressure no matter what wad you use. I've been shooting damascus barrel SxS's for ten years with low pressure loads. Low recoil, less cost, and lots of fun.

2 1/2" Cheddite (RST) hull
Cheddite or Winchester 209 primer
20 grains International Clays powder
GU-1222 wad.
1 oz. lead shot/6 fold crimp
1220 FPS@6800 PSI

2 1/2" Cheddite(RST) hull
Cheddite or Winchester 209 primer
22 grains IMR PB powder
GU-1222 wad
1oz lead shot/6 fold crimp
1225 FPS@7200 PSI

I personally use the top one. Very good trap load with 7 1/2 shot.

The top one is what I use with a BPI spreader wad and 7 1/2 shot and roll crimp. Very accurate in my Simpson and J P Sauer guns.
