"CEW" is marked on the underside of two shotgun barrells-W R Schaefer and A G Genez-Breechloaders. Any idea of who this is? The mark is only on the Left BBL Thanks Bill McPhail

I'm all but positive he was a Georg Lindner subcontractor. I would also add that Schovering, Daly & Gales more than likely were involved.

http://freemycollection.com/?page=manufacturers&id=40&name=A-G-GenezSome info on A.G. Genez but I think the Nov. 1860 date to be in error and it should read Nov. 1880. Sometime between 1875 & 1880 Vincent Bissig acquired the concern. 1871 A.G. Genez Advert 1871 Info noting 25 years in business Nov. 1880 Vincent Bissig Advert 1871 The Daly Gun Advert noting W.R. Schaefer & Thos. L. Golcher Kind Regards, Raimey rse
