If you cannot resist the impulse to proceed to complete takedown just remember that the trigger return spring is the one delicate part of the action. It is very easy to bend or break. It is a rat trap like spring that keeps the triggers back and is held in place by a pin.
Just soaking the action in solvent will clean old grease etc, and a blow with compressed air will complete the cleaning.
