butt plates other the Galzans. I have a V.bernadelli 12ga that has had a pad added, and I would like to find a butt plate for it.

Good luck on finding another V. Bernardelli buttplate. Jeff's Outfitters usually stocks horn buttplates that can be fitted. Dutchman Woodworks had a wide selection of repro buttplates. Also try Wendell Allen at Outback Gunparts (812-945-0480). No website for Wendell, but he has lots of stuff. In a somewhat generic repro buttplate, your best choice (other than horn) might be the simple L.C. Smith plate as used up through at least the Crown Grade; fairly plain with a few horizontal grooves in the middle of the plate.
