There is a 20 bore VH Parker with 2 sets of barrels for sale locally. Both sets are numbered to the gun however the second set is 30" marked Vickers and has a vent rib. Others are original Vulcan steel Grade-V 3^3 weight barrels on a 0 frame. Very high condition with most case still present. 1905 manufacture with capped pistol grip and a small repaired chip in the toe plate. Gun has been in the original family it's whole life but no-one seems to know about this second set of barrels. Anybody care to venture a guess?

Neither Parker Bros. or Remington would have ever fit a set of Vickers barrels to a Parker so the second set is obviously an add-on at a much later date. That second set of Vickers barrels does not increase the value of the gun in any significant way.

If this is the one that's on Shotgunworld, the original barrels have been cut to about 21".
That seller is in Columbus OH and has a link to some small pics of the gun. Case color looks like cyanide, so not original. Toe repair looks rather poorly done, with a cracked butt plate. He lists the vent rib Vickers barrels as 28" so might be a different gun, but too many coincidences for that. Asking price is at least double what the gun is worth. If the Vickers barrels are actually 30", it could be a good shooter, but don't overpay.

Atlas Arms in Chicago offered replacement barrels for Smith and Parker guns in the 60s & 70s using tubes made by Vickers (England) and fit and finished by Armaf in Belgium, but I've never seen one with a vent rib. Possibly by Simmons and should be so marked. Check the flats for Belgian proofmarks and date code.

I have a GH 12 with aftermarket Italian barrels that fit very well, solid rib. Also have a DHE 12 Damascus with a second set of Bohler steel vent rib barrels that are very nicely done. The boys at Ivory Beads looked at that gun and opined that it appeared to be Frank Lefever's work (maybe).

How are the Vickers barrels Marked? Roll stamped on the top of the tubes? Or marked ont he bottoms of the tubes in front of the monoblock? Is there any sign of a splice seam in front of the chambers? From sleeving.

I have a set of steel bbls built in Italy for an FE Lefever of Bohler Steel. These carry Italian proof marks & are serial numbered to the gun. Highly unlikely these Parker bbls are Monoblocked. Original Parker bbls were not monoblocked, so sleeving "Does Not a Monoblock Create". If these were built from scratch as were my Lefever bbls they likely were not monoblocked either, but either chopper lumped or more likely dovetailed.

I have seen Vickers built barrels as the photo above shows markings of. I owned a Parker PH with Vickers built barrels. They had similar markings, but read a tad different. Mine read "ESC Vickers & Co."
However, I have seen some barrels on Parkers that were monoblocked using Vickers tubes. These have had "Vickers" on the bottoms of the tubes along with proof markings.
