Action. That finish is 24 years old, and was done by Bobby Parker in Straw Plains, TN. It has nicely aged IMHO.

Not as good a pic as I would like, but the sideplate has some very subtle mottling; reddish flecking and quite pleasing at least to me.

The stock repair was there when I got the rifle in 1988, and some day I will get it professionally re-spliced.
