My kid has a Loesch drilling and looking for pictures of a forearm iron to try and copy. Maybe an iron from any of those simple undelever actions would do.

Steve,
Is the 22WMR at Cabela's in FT. Worth the original barrel or was it lined?
Hal, I had success by having a friend with access to CNC equipment photograph the forearm iron of the same model rifle that was without one and with these photos and physical measurents from the sample forearm iron and from these was able to write up the program to produce a new blank forearm iron, which was fit up and engraved by another gunsmith friend. Unfortunately, my machinist friend has passed on. A small mistake we made was we made the blank the same as the sample (which had been hand fit to a different action) making the fit up to the action much harder for my gunsmith friend. If you choose to do something like that, be sure to leave a few thousandths for fitting.
Mike.

Valid question. A typical combination for a Schonzeit-Büchsflinte (or maybe rather Büchsflintchen) was 28 ga with 5,6x35R.
And just when was the .22 WMR invented? In 1959? ;-)
