I have two partial cans from Brownells with the same label although mine are very discolored from oil splatters and other things. I have had one can for probable 30+ years and the other I got on an estate auction in other stuff. It was discontinued I believe the the 1970's by Brownells. Bill

It's real and was un-opened when I got it...I got another bottle, the oils a little darker in color than the Brownells.

A can of sperm whale oil sells regularly for more than $200.00 on E-bay. It does last a long time but at that price I find a synthetic replacement.

GM used to sell it as a additive for the manual trannies and differentials... my brother (a long time Cadillac parts manager) used to get it for me for my race car.

Question---I never asked him but is this the same oil that my jeweler uses to oil my pocket watches after he cleans them? He did tell me that what he uses is like liquid gold.
