When I turned 18 I bought a Sears double barrel shotgun, made by Aguirre & Aranzaral it's just a plain 12ga I hunted with for years,
Someone approched me wanting to buy it, is there value in this gun, it's the first gun I ever bought so it won't be sold, but I am just wondering.
Thanks

I suspect the fair market value of this shotgun depending upon condition would be at most a few hundred dollars. However; The value if it were mine to me would be priceless due to the memories associated with it. Jim
Update: Jack the dog just sold one in "very good condition" on Gunbroker for $454.

There is discussion of the old Sears Model 400 and others on the Spanish Guns subforum on shotgunworld.com. Use the search function to find the threads of interest.

Is it a J.C. Higgins model 100? This was supposedly only manufactured for 1 year by AYA and Sears advertised it alongside the Win Mode 21 as an alternative.( but it was not cheap) The Sears 1955 Xmas cat. shows it After getting the Sears business they started producing the Matador which was not as good.

I dug up my paper work, bought it new in Oct 1977 for 139.99, so it was made mid 70's I am sure.

As an aside: This is as good an example as any to demonstrate just how worthless the Government has made the US dollar in the last 35 years. $139.99 new in 1977 $454 used today! Jim

So it's worth about 400 dollars, I will make a note and keep it with the paper work.
That price really surpises me, so I guess my 1926 Lefever 410 is worth a bit more then, makes me wish I bought more guns when I was younger.

Your 1926 Lefever, if you're talking Nitro Special, is worth a LOT more. Old .410 doubles are very pricey.
