Good Morning:

Greg and DocBill's AA Mag-Lite technique works great. MAG INSTRUMENTS in Ontario, Ca. also makes a small key chain sized "SOLITAIRE' Mag-Lite (focusable)that uses a single AAA battery that is very versatile. I use one for all gauges down thru 28 with various sized bushings. Be careful to keep a fresh battery installed as they loose their peak brightness pretty quickly.

What I have learned, the hard way at times, is that many factors effect the point of impact of a shotgun. My favorite go to guns do not all have the same diamensions, but shoot equally well for me. In some 50 years of smoothbore gunning, I have found that my best upland results have come with shorter length of pulls that I can comfortably and consistently shoot(mount) without running into my thumb. Pitch is also a VERY important actor/contributor to success in the grouse woods. I guess I am trying to focus on the many elusive qualities/features that make some birdgun's point, mount and shoot like it is your third arm.

Ahhh, but Life is Good!

Cheers, Fox'y
