I'm thinking of purchasing a "Beumgardner" 16gs ble in very nice condition, nicely engraved blued action, ejectors,28" bls as I recall, PG,DT, splinter -- the gun is about 90%. I saw this gun a few years back and it was a nice fit but was not for sale at the time. I asked the owner to allow me first dibs if he decided to sell. He wants $850.00for it -- seems well made but I have been unable to research any info on this maker. Have not seen proof marks as yet. Any of you folks have info on these guns/maker?

In what country was the gun proofed? Pictures would be helpful. I can't find any reference to Baumgardner in any reference books I have.

$850. sounds like a very good price for a well made BLE 16 ga.
