A local auction has a few double for sale, a Rem 1900 (mislabled an 1894 - that always upsets me!)a Hercules, and a couple others including this one. The description says it is a "JP Dover" i cant find any info on that manufacturer. When I try Google it wants to correct me to "JP Dozier" but that doesn't yield any results either.
Can anyone help me out here? It looks like a nicely engraved gun.
I would also like to know, if possible, what a decent price to pay might be given it is in good condition.

i think i may have found a match, most likely a Sauer.
The box, screw heads, screw placement and engraving are almost 100% match to this Sauer I found online

the one at the auction

now, lets see how cheap i can get it for!
