Hello,

Just finished up my latest project. Took her out to the range yesterday and developed a nice load that patterns well at 25 yards. I got lucky with the quality of the wood and the unusual twist barrels.

That's an beautiful and interesting gun Rudy. Is it a French gun? What kind of shape was it in when you got it? The lines and configuration remind me of my Husqvarna 44 16ga pictured here. I wonder if one might have influenced the other?

Here are a couple of more pics of the barrels. Drew, I'll send you some more pictures to your e-mail.

Mark, No other markings on the gun except the "Cannon Tordu" on the barrel rib and the number 14 on the bottom of each barrel. The gun was in terrible cosmetic condition, however, the locks and barrels were in good shape and there were no major flaws in the wood. I stripped the stock, steamed and sanded out the uglies and took the barrels down to 400 grit before re-rusting.

Thank you, and that appears to be canon a ruban de fer et d’acier or a higher steel content "Stub Twist." I'll get that great image added to the site linked above.

Very sweet looking gun. 14 bores are strangely enticing. I've only got one (so far!), British, made by W. Chance, I enjoy it. How do you get yours to float like that?

Those 14ga guns are really light eh?? Have to tie them down or they will float away.
I have another one in 14ga, it's an English gun made by Fisher, in good original condition. Both of them are good shooters. Circle Fly has all the wads needed to keep them running.

I knew something was strange about those pictures, not only is the gun "floating", it doesn't appear to be throwing a shadow either.

It's hanging from a bird feeder pole by the upper sling swivel.
