Ran across a Bernadelli 20 gauge hammergun, 3 barrel set. 26, 28 & 30 inch barrels. Unfired and in the original maker's case.
I am unfamiliar with the maker, but around here 3 barrel sets don't come along very often and never in a small bore. I feel that the seller's price seems fair to me - but was curious as to what the folks here would call a fair price....
I looked around the net for a comparable set but didn't run across any at the usual places.

I have four Bernadellis two hammerless and two with hammers and really like them. Well made and they are balanced for me. Larry Brown has only good things to say about them, Contact him for more info.

The Bernardelli hammer guns in 12 gauge seem to go from about $1500-2000 depending on grade. The Brescia is the lowest grade and the Italia Extra the highest. Given the gauge of the set you are contemplating, its new condition, and three barrels, I could easily see the set going for $4000-4500.

Is it "Vincenzo" (Sp?) Bernadelli.
There are different Italian manufactureres with "Bernadelli" in their name.
Best,
Mike
I am glad to be here.

It might go for "$4000-4500" once....but pay that and try and sell it for that again.

I'll have to check it out again and take pics to determine grade. It has some tastful engraving and the barrels are numbered in gold.
Owner is asking 3k - that's alot to me, but a small bore 3 barrel set doesn't come available locally very often here in S.E. Ohio.
I have a pre-war 20 gauge hammergun in the safe allready - maybe this purchase would be redundant...

Ironman, There is a very easy way to determine grade. The Brescia has a case color receiver and the Italia and Italia Extra say it on the Top Rib and Extension and have a "silver" receiver.. Even a Brescia 20G 3 barrel set, in case, is well worth the $3000 you state. Bob Jurewicz

Ironman:
If you decide to pass on this, I'd like the contact information for the owner. I like Bernardelli hammer guns and would love to have a small gauge set.
