L.C. Smith--500,000
Ithaca- 425,000
Parker-240,000

The highest graded gun made by any company here or abroad was the A3 L.C. Smith made in 1895 and sold for %740.00 then.

I suspect SkeetX is correct for question #1. As for #2 it depends on where you draw the line.

Does an L C Smith 00 or Field, Ithaca #1 or Field, Fox Sterlingworth, Parker Trojan or even V or P fall in the "High End" catagory???

Even with their low total production Lefever Arms Co can't be totally discounted when it comes to the highest grades of US built guns.

I think Joe is correct for question 1. Counting the Lefever Nitros and the Western Arms, Ithaca made close to 800,000 double barreled guns.

What constitutes "High End? Is it how many made, how much money did it cost then or what?

If by "high end" you mean guns retailing at $200 and up; no American double gun manufacturer made more high-end guns than the various companies manufacturing the LC Smith.

How about H & D Folsom Arms Co. that made their Baker Gun Co., Crescent Fire Arms Co., American Gun Co. and myriad "trade brand" double guns at their factory in Norwich, Conn.?

From 1902 to 1909, the Remington Special listed at $750.

Hunter Arms made 30 DeLuxe, priced at $1,000 in 1913. Parker made 3 Invincibles P.O.A.

Dave, however, is correct. Crescent production data:
Sidehammer Model single - less than 20,000
All other single barrel guns - 900,000 +
Triumph Model hammerless double - less than 750
Sidelock Hammerless (except New Empire and Quail Model) - 500,000
New Empire and Quail Model Hammerless double - 120,000
Hammer Double (except Model 44) - 650,000
Model 44 Hammer double - 40,000
This adds up to an astonishing 2.2 Million + shotguns over 43 years, not counting Rolling Block singles, Davenport marked guns, and Baker marked guns.
