In all the years I've been reading/posting on these Internet firearms boards, I have never heard of anyone speak of owning one of these guns. They were at the Vintagers at Pintial Point a couple three years ago and they had one gun, as I recall. Is there anyone here who has first-hand knowledge and actually fired one?

Never seen one, at a show or at any competition.
The pictures in the ads are not very flattering. Case colors can't possibly be as bad as they look in the ads, I hope.

A test fire was offered at one of the last, or the last, Vintagers at Millbrook. Several people inspected and shot the gun while I was giving it the once over. I did not shoot the gun but watched while it was shot. The gun in question was a competition style gun with about 30" barrels and beefy stock. It had no feature I felt was an improvement over any other competition gun I am familiar with. I thought the multi part barrels were a bit ridiculous, in my opinion. The breech face area is a bit busy with multiple fastenings and screws. A sponsored competition program was discussed with the promoters, but I have heard nothing of it. I have no idea where they are with the gun today.

I think Ithaca currently has a similar OU in the works, if they haven't dropped the project.

I doubt that the Ithaca is "similar" to the Parker except in purpose.

I doubt that the Ithaca is "similar" to the Parker except in purpose. Correct. They have nothing in common but the barrel arrangement. The Parker O/U has been a bad joke from the beginning and d.o.a. from its inception. JR

I find it hard to believe that these people have never completed for, or sold a gun to someone who reads this forum. Well, maybe not. According to the website, they are now making a 28 gauge. Where are the 12 gauges?

I doubt that the Ithaca is "similar" to the Parker except in purpose. Right. Both heavy target OU's rather than light game guns.
