I was wondering if anyone on this site could tell me about a Winchester Model 22?
I have come across one, made in Spain with all the proof marks from the Spanish proof houses, double triggers.
I look forward to hearing from this group in this regard.
Thanks!!

I'd love to see some pics of it. I've heard of them but never layed eyes on one.

I have seen one. A dealer has been bringing the same one to our gun shows in St. George for several years. They were made by Laurona around 1975. The last time I saw this gun he was asking around $2300 for it. I wasn't impressed and neither was anyone else, apparently. According to the Blue Book, his price is about double what it's worth and the fact that he's been dragging it from show to show for at least 3 or 4 years bears that out.

Last one I looked at was about 3 years ago and the tag was $1200 (NNB condition). At that time used IG Model 30 in equal condition was $400. There was no need to pay $800 extra for Winchester Proof Steel stamp on the barrels. PS. The only engraving I remember was Winnie Pony Rider on the trigger plate.

I saw one about three or four years ago at the Louisville show that was just about new but the guy wouldn't come down off of the $1500.00 price tag. And the only reason I really wanted it was to have an oddity, so I passed on it. At the time a rough Model 21 was selling for around $2000.00 or less so I remmeber I bought one instead. I think I have pictures of one somewhere on a floppy disc that was for sale a few years ago (I believe) by Chaddicks. If you want me to, I can try to send them e-mail to any of you if you want.
