i hope this link works: http://www.k-bid.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?klosteria102/4410/1there are some interesting double parts, what looks like at least one full side lock reciever up for auction at a local auction house near me. wondering if anyone can help ID what type of gun/guns this is and if its worth me buying it for a decent price? cant get any better pics from the seller, i would have to go look at them myself.

One frame, ser. num. 215686 is a L.C. Smith Field Grade. The "E" was for Ejector equipped guns. It comes up as a 1913 gun.
The second Frame, ser. num. 18050 is from an "O" Grade Pre-13 L.C. Smith.

Both are LC Smith "regular", or standard sized frames with the early style two-piece top strap; one is a pre and a post-13 example. The fore iron appears to be the extractor type and is most likely from the Grade 0 frame. If he still has the ejector iron from the Field Grade that would be a great find.

Well, it looks like the bidding has gone up over my $20 limit. Was more interested in a deal on part than to restore them. Interesting though, after my post it looks like a new bidder (very high bidder ID #) got in on the auction? I hope someone here could win em and restore one of them.
Looks like the same auction has a straight stock, with what looks like a LC butt plate on it. No checkering, but I'd bet it mates up with one of those receivers. Also looks like what might be a win m12 (?)pump slide.

Oops, maybe not a stock for one of those receivers. Looks like at best it goes on a boxlock. Its not inletted on the sides for the plates and action.

Those parts look to me as though they may have been through a fire, they have that dead, gray look to them.

I doubt it; but if they have, looks like the fore iron and wood came thru without being charred. At any rate, the forearm itself was the prize in that lot; as those things are always in demand.
