At the Las Vegas gun show there was a booth by Steve Boyett & Associates, inc for Arms and Armor International Insurance Services web site: www.antiqueguninsurance.com. The insurance was very reasonable; $100.00/yr for $66,666.00 with greater amounts available. Question: Does anyone have experience with this company?

Have not done anything with Steve. see this for some examples http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum/gene...mendations.html

This is going to vary with your own risk and comfort factors...

Thank you. I do have the additional insurance my homeowners allows and have a special policy specific to my most expensive shotgun (expensive though)but the policy this company provides seems to to be much more affordable and administered for gun owners where my homeowners policy is a reluctant addition. I had hoped some one on this forum would have had some first hand experience with them.

Side thought: My homeowners agent (State Farm) said he had never heard of a claim for stolen firearms from someone with a real gun safe. He considered them great investments.

I have insurance and a safe. The reason for the insurance is while the guns are out of the safe, in the car, for example

See how the company is rated and see if they have what I will call a stupid clause. I carry a rider on my household policy that costs me $145 p/yr for about $15,000 and this covers the two shotguns I use in the field. But no matter how the firearm is damaged they pay. e.g. if I fall and break the wrist they pay for a new stock, if I drop it they pay. I don't put the rest of my firearms on this rider and they are not fully covered and that is a risk I can live with. I like the stupid clause because I figure this is the most likely risk I face.
