Is that forend legit? Looks really short, even for a .410.

I think this guy has NO idea what he has in his hands, but why not list high and see what happens?
He might meet up with someone with more money than sense.
My Thought, anyway.

Stallones, I drove to Maine to see that Damascus Parker that had an opening bid price of $4500. The owner of the shop was not in but I discussed it with his son who said the bids had gone to "a little over $10k so far" (the kid didn't know what he was talking about anyhow) but I asked to see it. The gun is very nice and almost original with the exception that I beleive the buttstock had been replaced at some point as it lacked the "spurred" buttplate but could have been done by Parker Bros., it was that early and that quality as well. I didn't make an offer because the shop owner was not available. Now, a little more than a month later and after the gun has been up for auction for some monthe with not a single bite, I call and get the owner and suggest that because the buttstock appears to have been replaced I would like to make an offer of something less than his minimum. His reply (before I could even get out the price I would offer) was "I won't even consider an offer of less" at which he ended the call. Yes, that Parker is overpriced but someone may pay his price sooner or later... and that is why prices continue to escalate... because "a fool and his money are soon parted"... or maybe I'm the fool for not paying it...
