I thought all 720 were D&T'd for scopes (mine is) but this one only has the single hole in the rear ring. Would this be specific to the Navy Trophy guns (I believe one or two of our members here own Navy Trophy rifles?).

I noticed that the seller doesn't show the left side of the front ring where the 720 would be stamped but it does look like a 720 bolt release.

Any idea what the single hole is for?

Isn't it a bit ironic that the Navy misspelled pigeon? And engraved it incorrectly, no less.

The m720 I have was not d/t'ed. Just one hole in rear

There is a old local gun shop owner here that was a marine sniper and he claims he has 11 award rifles that he was awarded.

Especially considering a regular 720 with all it's checkering sanded off just brought $1225.
