Seems to be my winter for digging guns out of old ladies' closets.......This one is a Baker "Batavia Special". It's a sidelock, homo tensile steel 12 ga. hammerless double barrel. 157,000 serial number range. Claims her Grampa bought it from a hardware/general store back in the long ago.
Think I'm going to shoot this one some; before I reluctantly get coerced into selling it. Stock is in good shape with an original Baker buttplate. Barrels are good shape with bright bores; and ring like my windchimes.
Old gal threw in a "Hercules" 20 ga. hammer single shot that she "just wanted out of the closet, so I don't have to worry about the grandkids playing with it...."
Any information about the Baker, or the Hercules, for that matter, would be appreciated. Thanks, Grant.
