I live in CA in lead free zone. Is Hornady the only manufacturer that makes solid copper bullet loads in 9.3x74R? Anyone use with their double rifles?

Other than custom ammo, any other suggestions? Or is custom the only way to go with sxs rifles (like loads using North Fork bullets)?

Are you sure that your lead free zone is for rifles. Here in the UK it only refers to shot not rifles. How about .22 LR and air rifles. I use a 9.3 X 74R for wild boar with only soft point it's the only way you can get a clean kill.

John, the endangered Condors in California were said to be getting lead poisoning from eating hunting carcasses and entrails. Copper bullets are required in some zones...Geo

It might be time for you to start 'rolling your own' ammo. It's actually kind of fun and it's easy.

Actually, looks like Hornady is NOT solid copper!

Does ANYONE load solid copper ammunition in 9.3x74R?

Yes S&B has/had a solid copper load I don't have a DR so I don't know if they still do...

I have had very mixed results with S&B ammo in double rifles and no longer use it. I thought Lapua loaded a mono metal bullet at one time

I'll check around some more. If these stupid CA laws spread, I'm sure more will start loading solids!

That's crazy, hoser!
But Barns-X makes brass bullets for most calibers.
