Just dug another one out of an old guy's cellar. Thought it might be JABC. But on close scrutiny I find no evidence of that. Matter-of-fact the only markings on the gun are: "Genuine Amoury Steel", "Choke Bored", on the left barrel; and 277315 number on the major parts. No stamps on the barrel flats, as the barrels have no flats! No markings on the watertable, as the watertable consists of two concave troughs that the rear of the barrels fit into when the gun is closed.
Not a hint of any other marks, save the wavy lines on the top rib. Gun is 12 gauge, hammers, thirty inch, shallow pistol grip stock, which appears to be very light colored French walnut; kinda blonde like an old Browning. Hammers are on the the sideplates. Has an extension of the rib that fits into the standing breech face; but not a dolls head.
Can't hardly believe a company that made some 277,000 guns would be so ashamed of their product that they chose to not display their name on said products.
Any ideas who made it. What vintage? What country of origin?
Thanks in advance for any information....... Grant.
