I wanted to attach some pics to a post of mine. I read the FAQ regarding the file manager after receiving a popup. I don't get this option in a reply or new post. I've even gone in and allowed popups from this site. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Kirk,

First I should say that pop-ups have nothing to do with posting photos.
Second, that it took me some time to "master" photo posting.

What is mandatory is that you have your photos uploaded to a place like
"Photobucket", "Picasa", "Flicker". In other words your photos have to be
on the web.

When they are there, each one acquires a "web address" which is what you need
to post on any website.

If you already have them in such a place, all you need to do is copy the address
of the photo you want to post and then click on the "Enter an image" icon
above (fourth from the left). A menu will pop down and there you click on
"Insert a non-floating image". You will get a prompt saying
"Enter the complete URL for the image you wish to display",
you do that and press OK and you are done. At least this is how I do it and it works.

JC

P.S.: Do not hesitate to ask, as my explanation is surely not that clear. jc

Thanks JC,
May have to go that route. The response in FAQ makes it sound like you could add pictures right from your hard drive which is why i asked.
Take care.

Hi Kirk
I think the way I do it is simplier.
Upload photos to photobucket.
Place cursor over photo and a drop down menu will appear.
Move the cusor to the bottom line [img] and after a couple of seconds it will say 'copied'
Paste in your thread.
Job done.
I always leave a line between text and photos or between photos - makes it look better.

If I have got this right then there should be a photo of two spaniels!!
best of luck
John
