hi guys a question for you.. what is the value of a 1970 belguim made browning 20 ga superposed superlight grade 1 in 98% condition less than 1 box of shells fired from it gun has no rust and only a tiny superficial scratch on barrel was given to me about 15 years ago by original owner what is the value?

How long are the barrels? Does it have a buttplate or a buttpad?

guys dont know if i want to sell gun all orig 26 inch barrell with what i would call a butt plate still looking to honest value

if it is as described 3900 +or- 100.The 20s are pretty desirable as long as stock has not been cut and gun is orginal.

I'm in ballpark agreement with Dave's estimate. Some dealers will advertise for more, few if any for less. They are not plentiful, but not rare and tend to bring about $1000 more than a pistol gripped Lightning of same bbl length (26 1/2"). As far as I know, Superlights only came in 26 1/2" bbls.

guys thanks so much for the info gun has been in back of safe for years and i only recently rediscovered it barrels are in fact 26.5 inches orig owner really loved this gun i always thought it was special atleast now i have some idea of its $$$ value anybody know how many were made or how many might still be around? thanks again guys

In 1970, there were 428 Grade 1 20ga Superlights made and 1 Special Order Superlight, per Schwing's book. They were made in various grades until 1977 with a total around 1000 20ga Superlight guns. 12ga Superlights are another story.

There are 28" Superlights, but they are coveted and more expensive than shorter barrel examples.
