A new one without the vintage aspect for your vintage gun will cost you well over $6k FOB London. If you need it it's a deal.

Yeah - how many of those do you see? They're pretty rare, especially with the label in that kind of shape.
That interior looks too clean, though.

That case is as good as it gets for a vintage case. They were commonly sold by William Read to house American guns they sold as well as British. Many of their house named muzzleloaders were cased in quality ones like this one. I think the price is up there, but not out of line.

That's a nice case, but I wonder why it is 4" thick overall. The original oak and leather cases that I have are all less than 3 3/4" thick overall. It also looks like it is for a hammerless gun. The question of the inside dimensions that one guy inquired about makes me think that he has an issue with the case thickness. I would think that a case that thick could possibly be for a 10 bore!
