I'm haveing Non-buyers remorse. This gun was at a small show here in Ohio. It is in good original condition. Documented to be in one family since ordered. Seller is 84 and it was his fathers gun. Letters from LC Smith and other documentation.
Gun is untouched except new pad in 60's (stock not cut), hunter 1 trigger, double ivory beads, CC's maybe 60%, wood has some dings but very nice with ALOT of figure. Basically just what you would expect on a gun of this grade. It does not appear to have ever had a screw turned on this gun.
I could not make myself pull the trigger and buy it (aka - scared of my wife), but I asked for his home number because I felt there would be others here that would be interested. I am sure that it can be had for less than five thousand (how much less is up to you and the seller). I will pass along contact info by e-mail if buyer agrees to donate the 10 bucks to the BBS.
According to LC Smith site this is one of only 416 eagle grade 12's. Second one I've seen in 15+ years and this one is very nice. It has never been on the market before and I was amazed that it was there in the mist of all the mossberg 500's at this show.
