Could someone tell me the era of manufacture of "Le Superfixe" sliding breech over/under from Charlin? I got a '51 Charlin catalog repro from Abby but the gun is apparently not from that time. The stackbarrels in this particular catalog were break open and all shared the Petrick/Remington sliding hood lockup and trunnions in the action wall. Also illustration of a "mechanisme separe" which appeared to be coil-spring-loaded linear strikers for an o/u similar to the design used by Manufrance in their doubles.

JC, if you happen by, I'm working on the promised Robust fotos. I made a light tent by windowing out two sides of a heavy cardbd. shipping box for plastic laminate (a la internet instructions) and "glazing" the windows with Tyvek. Also made a couple of light standards to go alongside to which I will attach clampon lights.

I have turn-of-the-century, mid 1930s and a later catalog, perhaps 40s or 50s. No mention of the Superfixe.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess two things-it wasn't really successful, and, they didn't want to talk about it much, after it wasn't successful.

Best,
Ted
