Has anyone ever used this product on their barrels for protection? I got word of this product from a very knowledgeable source. Just wondering if others have had as good experience with it. Thanks - Marc

I've been using it for at least 15 years best protectant on the market...bar none.

When Keith Kearcher was still in Longview, Washington, with its damp and salt air climate, he put me onto EEZOX. Been using it for a decade now. For 25 years prior I used G-96, which was what I smelled when I was in the gun vault of a major collector where there were six .410-bore and as many 28-gauge Parker doubles. Both have worked well for me.

For you guys that use this stuff, do you use it as a lubricant and apply it to all metal surfaces (ie moving parts in the action like the ejectors and barrel lumps) or just as a surface protectant for exposed surfaces?
The manufacturer claims that applying it to the bores results in less fouling and therefore less cleaning is required - is this consistent with your experience?

I've been using Eezox for all it's intended purposes for gun care---as a lubricant on all metal parts, as a cleaner and as a rust preventer. Since I started using this product a few years ago I have discarded all the other products that I had been using. This is a great product for the aforementioned things, but what I like best about it is that there is no oily film--it's dry to the touch, so you leave virtually no finger prints.

After you have applied it and it dries, it still almost looks wet, yet slick dry to the touch.
I just wonder if it is a danger for wood like oil is?

I watched a video on utube on how to apply it; looked pretty detailed. How far do you dismantle a shotgun and how much cleaning do you do before applying the product? Also, do you remove the stock?
