Sorry I missed meeting you, Cary.

I must have had a few of those cast iron ones as well. Did you see the clay birds on the Team Challenge Sunday with the cotton balls stringing out of them? Craziest looking thing I ever saw. They looked like a little orange comet with a white tail. First one that came out it flustered me so I missed it clean. Rick said he was using up some old targets they had fastened cotton balls to for some other past event.

Gents,

Any high grade doubles at the event that were for sale?

I really enjoyed the Fall Southern SXS at Backwoods Quail Club this weekend. The targets were great (much more interesting than the Spring Southern at Deep River, actually) and some, such as the true pair thrown to bounce off a trampoline were really imaginative. I saw a lot of head scratching by some pretty good shooters.

Hospitality and weather couldn't have been better, with a full southern buffet and for both lunch and dinner.

There were two vendor tents with lots of guns, books, etc. Holland & Holland, Steve Barnett, Kirby Hoyt, John Allgood, Roger Bain, Mid South, Galazan and others were there. This shoot is only in its third year, and I think its off to a great start. Look forward to going again.

Stan- All I shot (at) was five stand on Friday. While getting dressed on Saturday morning, the phone rang. Had to head back to Atlanta in a hurry. Sorry I missed you also. I've never met anyone from this board and wanted to put some faces and names together.
