What are you planning on doing with that heavy brl SxS?
The old AyA Matadors had pretty thick brl walls.
And see this recent thread

rev,cut the barrels back to 24" and add rifled choke tubes to shoot full bore cast slugs.

The heavier barrels will add a little weight and have enough meat to add the tubes................ I hope

Al - Cut up a Baikal - some of those came with 30-30 inserts - the action should take any reasonable low pressure cartridge.

The Baikals are heavy enough to take the True Choke system, and there are rifled tubes available for this system from both Colonial Arms and Cation.

I have a GH that started out as a 10 bore that Simmons sleeved to a 12 bore but held the same O. D. as the 10 bore tubes. Bet you can't stop your swing!
