Hi Tom, Please be safe, always. Look at the mfgr's booklet or their website. Don't use loading data from any source other than published factory information. If 20/28 info is not yet on their website, email them and ask the question. Best wishes,

Have not heard of it being used in any gauges other than 20 and 28. I have used it in both, and really like it in 28.

Agree with Larry. Like it in 28ga, but first try at 20ga seemed a bit "harsh". Seems that I recall seeing that some loads were being tested by 16ga Reloaders group. There are so many other good published loads out there for other powders, I usually wait until the Mfr. offers data.

A bit of a shift but I have used Unique for 20 and 28. It has 1200 fps and recoil seems to be less than the current factory stuff and good patterns. John Mc

For low pressure 12 ga loads, you might want to check out 800X. It's dirty, but gives very low pressures and recoil

I use Solo 1000 and a friend uses Nitro 100 for low pressure loads. They both are a little dirty. They are however available in money saving 25 pound kegs. The last one I bought was about $320 or a little less than $13 per pound. I load around 18 grains per round for 389 rounds per pound.

I like Nitro 100 for low pressure 12's but haven't tried Solo 1000. I wonder what is going on with 7625; I was going to try some for light 10 ga loads. Maybe I'll have to use something else...

Claydot is another newer powder that works well for low pressure 12ga loads. Relatively clean burning.

7625 is a great clean buring power for low pressure 12 and 10 gauge loads. It does however have at two faults. The first is the price and the second is that it doesn't like very cold weather. 7625 is not the powder for low pressure duck hunting loads! Don't ask why I know this...
I recently used 7625 for low pressure 10 gauge loads and it preformed supurbly.
