It is realized by master - engraver Geoffroy GOURNET (www.gournetusa.com ). The engraving will certainly be ended for the next international hunting show of Rambouillet 2011 (Yvelines, France) where the shotgun will be displayed on the stand Bruchet-Darne. One reason I like it is that on the small parts of a properly scaled .410, conventional conservative scroll or rose and scroll would be pretty microscopic, hard to do well, and possibly thus even more expensive. This, even a geezer can SEE. But then I like Elsie Ideals and Ithaca 1 1/2s, too. ("De gustibus, etc." rule invoked.)

If only I didn't have three children in college, it would be in his shop for engraving and final finishing. What an absolutely delightful piece of artistry.
