Measured a set of A.H. Fox A-grade barrels today. The gun is a 12 bore made in 1929, Chromox 28" #4 wt.
The internal barrel dimensions were a bit tight at .725 in both tubes, and the chokes (the gun is listed as being Mod & Full) are Right bbl. .020 & Left bbl. at .045. The chokes measured approximately 3 3/4" long in both tubes.
Would like to know from some of the Fox afficianados here if these dimensions are "normal" for Fox guns.
My last A-grade, a 1910 with 30", #1 wt., Krupp barrels had chokes that measured .029 in both tubes and .729 internal dimensions. Chokes were the same 3 3/4" long in both barrels.
