Hi SKB,
I have an Ajack fitted onto a German .303 Enfield sporter done just after WW2 it has the same problems as above post. The info I have on it is below.
Reticle No1
The elevation adjustment dial base is well marked with a roll engraved , “ AJACK 6x50 “
The power designation, “ 6 x 50“ , ( 6 power magnification with a 50 mm diameter objective lens)
A. Jackenkroll Berlin SO 33 (A. Jackenkroll, Optische Anst., SO 36, Schlesische Str. 29/30 Berlin) Manufacturer of riflescopes from 1879-1962.
At 70 bucks in the US i reckon the Germans would be much higher than that.
I am still looking for a service agent here as I have been collecting Zeiss/Hensoldts and some need TLC , though I am surprised by how many were still perfect optically after all these years.
I also picked up a huge box of gunmakers discarded claw mounts (they were expensive but at least now I can get my rifle collection remounted with scopes to suit)
Martin
