Is there anywhere an individual can buy 4 bore ammo or is it something they will have to load themselves? Anyone know where some 4 bore empties can be had?

Signal pistols of war time made for 4G ammo (26mm). Russian plant in Krasnogorsk makes 4G paper shells for it still. But shell length is about 3", not sure thou.

I have a catalog of stuff used for reloading the 4 bore at home. I'm at work right now. I'll see what it has in it tomorrow. I have a 12 hours shift tonight. The catalog is from England so everything would have to be imported.

Ken Owen in Tennessee builds 4 bore double rifles and sells ammo. I think Champlains in Oklahoma usually has reloading components. Butch Searcy builds 4 bore rifles and probably sells ammo. With some work, 50 BMG brass can be turned into 4 bore cases.

Sorry, I was thinking of a different rifle (a .700 cal) and misstyped. It is the 20mm brass that can be made into 4 bore cases.

A few examples of our services: Load development to achieve velocity, individual barrel accuracy and best grouping. Practice loads with ligther bullets (ex;450ne with 350 gr bullet). Great for the ladies, younger shooters, or your plains game harvesting. Hard to find cartridges with intensive transformation of existing brass (9.3x74R to 8x60R) or from scratch (CNC machined brass for 8 bore and 4 bore).
