Hello everybody!!!
I'm French and I live in Saumur in the Loire valley.
I'm kind of Darne shotguns and rifles...
Mister BRUCHET, the manager of Darne, is building for me in this moment the first shotgun model V Hors-Serie in 410 magnum gauge that the company has ever built...This shotgun is very light and thin!!! You can see photos of this shotgun at the adress :http://sebastiengirard.creezvotrealbum.com/#album=1&photo=25 What do you think of this shotgun?
This gun is currently being engraved in USA by the master engraver Geoffroy Gournet (gold inlays (yellow, red, green and white gold) ; you can see the work of this master engraver at this adress : www.gournetusa.com.
I hope you will enjoy seeing the photos of the VHS 410 Magnum.

Best regards
Sébastien GIRARD

I saw the new .410 in Geoffrey's engraving vise a couple of weeks ago. It is truly a dream gun. I thought I wanted one of Geoffrey's .410 Parker Repros, but now I know I want a .410 Darne. Bill Murphy

Very interesting project! What will the finished weight of the gun be? The wood is outstanding! Can not wait to see the finished piece. Thanks for the pictures!

It looks loke the gun is on a 20 ga action - not that there's anything wrong with that, even if it gives additional weight to the gun, it would be right between the hands where you aren't going to feel it. I love the way the barrels scallop (right word?) from the action area, too. smile Nice gun, Darne it! wink

Darne 410 pics

Are Darne butt stocks through bolt design?

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Very nice and rare high grade Ideal

I wonder what is connection between this Ideal and Darne history?

Sebastien,

Very nice wood. I like the English stock. Is it a 76mm (3-inch) .410?

Would like to see close photos of the proof marks, the action flats and the barrels (canon plume??). Perhaps you can also ask Geoffroy to post photos of his engraving process on his French gun chat site.

Regards, Tim
