This morning I was having a conversation with a shooting friend here in Northcentral Wisconsin named Al. Al is in his sixties and is a left hand, left eye dominant Class-AA skeet shooter that is in the process of having a pacemaker fitted and Al fears the pacemaker may put an end to his shooting career. I asked Al if he had ever considered a crossover stock, but he was unaware such a thing even existed. Al shoots an O & U--I believe it's either a Beretta or a Browning, and has asked me to inquire about who could build him a stock so that he may continue shooting.
Any leads of experienced crossover stock builders would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! bamboozler

Robin Brown at A. A. Brown in the UK. Saw a pair being stocked cross-over in his shop last fall.

Bamboozler One of my hunting partners had same problem so had pacemaker installed on opposite side, still shoots his .270 weatherby mag and 12ga no problem. Something you friend may want to consider. Take Care pedler

Let's get to the bottom of the side the pacemaker will be placed before we worry about crossover stocks. In the event the pacemaker has to be installed on the left, I will tell you that Wenig built my crossover stock for my Beretta 682. You can also use the Carey Sidesighter which I also use with much success.

Thanks for the lead Rocketman, however, I'm quite sure it would be more preferable if the stocker would be a little more "local" as I would imagine there would be a considerable amount of fitting required.
In my conversation with Al pedler, I gathered that the location of the pacemaker fitting wasn't really an option---though I'll mention your hunting partner's experience to Al who has already had a temporary pacemaker installed in the upper left chest area with a permanent installation scheduled to be fitted into the same general area within the next couple of weeks.
Anyone know of any other crossover stockmakers stateside?

The year I started using the Carey Sidesighter, I ran 100 in the 28 gauge event at the NSSA Zone 2 Championship. I now use a crossover gun, but don't shoot much registered skeet.

bamboozler You might give Dennis Potter a call. He did one a few years ago for a gentleman that was extremely well done and Dennis is in WI. Just a thought.
