friends:
I have several Ithaca 51's with Vent rib barrels. All of them claim to be "Trap Guns", based on the straight stocks, except for one which the original trap stock has been cut to have more drop.
All of the barrels seem to be the same though, and the plane of the rib seems to converge markedly with the axis of the bore. It seems to me this would produce "high shooting", even with a skeet or fiueld style stock.
Are there different barrels with regards to rib height on the Model 51? On any other gun types? Does it matter - or am I picking fly specks out of the pepper?
Thanks
Regards
