The Thomas patent action was licenced/sold to other gun makers of the era.For this reason, J.Thomas may not be the maker of your shotgun. Thomas single bite snal action guns are quite commonly encountered by a wide variety of Makers. I have one, a 20 bore, by Wm. Moore & Gray and also a 16 bore by Thomas norfolk of Bury St.Edmunds. any other information on the gun? Lagopus.....
